Our Programs Gift-A-Book

A book of their own
changes everything.

The Gift-A-Book campaign puts books directly into the hands of students in under-resourced communities — paired with Reading Day visits that bring stories to life in the classroom.

Why it matters

Book ownership
changes outcomes.

The research is clear — children who own books read more, perform better, and are more likely to stay in school. But access isn't equal, and that gap has real consequences.

Bring Gift-A-Book
to your community.

We partner with corporations, foundations, and community organizations to run campaigns at schools across the region. You don't need to have everything figured out — just reach out and we'll build it together.

1

Reach out to InkWell

Tell us about your organization. Have a school in mind? Great. Don't have one? We'll find the right fit together.

2

We plan together

We select the book, set a gifting goal, and build the campaign page. Most effective is the whole school — but grades 2–4 are a powerful starting point.

3

Your community rallies

We launch the campaign publicly. Your team, your network, and the broader InkWell community rally around the goal.

4

Reading Day brings it home

Volunteers join the school for Reading Day — engaging with students and delivering books in person. This is the moment that makes it real for everyone.

Let's start the conversation.

Fill this out and someone from InkWell will be in touch within 2–3 business days. Not ready yet? That's okay — tell us where you are and we'll go from there.
